Fanvue for AI creators: rules, ID check, fees and setup

Fanvue allows fully AI creators, as long as every AI image is clearly disclosed. You verify your own identity once with an ID and a selfie, set up a simple profile with the AI note in the bio, and Fanvue keeps 20% of what fans pay. Payouts start at $20. Everything below was checked against Fanvue’s own pages on 2 October 2026.

Affiliate note: RunPod and Fanvue links on this page are referral links. If you sign up through them, AI Empire may earn credits or a commission. You pay the same. How this works.

Does Fanvue allow AI creators?

Yes. Fanvue’s AI content policy allows fully AI-generated content, as long as the disclosure is clear and prominent. Every AI creator gets an AI tag in their profile bio. Content is checked with a “Reasonable Person’s Test” by three or more moderators, and failing it gets content removed, then the account.

The hard lines, from the community guidelines:

  • Nothing that resembles, or is meant to resemble, anyone under 18. A prompt saying she’s adult doesn’t count.
  • No real person’s likeness without their documented consent and identity verification. We never use a real person at all.

What verification does an AI creator need?

The person running the account verifies once. Fanvue’s KYC page for AI creators asks for a valid, in-date government-issued ID or passport and a selfie, even if your face never appears in the content. Its terms also mention a liveness check. You can run up to 15 accounts as an AI creator.

How do you set up a Fanvue account as an AI creator?

Sign up, verify, then set up a short profile and the settings below. Keep the bio simple: the big accounts on these platforms use a line or two, not a ChatGPT essay. Put the AI note in it. Verification can take a few days, so start it before she’s ready.

  1. Sign up. Use our Fanvue link if you want the graduate perk later (below).
  2. Verify your identity with your ID and a selfie.
  3. Write a short bio that says she’s AI-generated, for example “AI-generated character” plus one line about her.
  4. Upload a safe-for-work intro video. Fanvue has a reels-style tab, and the intro video is how you show up there.
  5. Apply the settings below, then upload at least 5 posts before you send traffic (you need 5 to request a payout, and Fanvue’s setup guide recommends at least 20).

Which Fanvue settings should you use?

These come from the course’s Fanvue lesson. The idea: talk to people who pay, don’t spend hours on people who don’t, and be visible to Fanvue’s own users. None of them cost anything, and together they save hours of chatting with people who were never going to buy.

Setting Our recommendation Why
Automated message to new subscribers On A friendly first message starts the conversation, e.g. “Thank you so much. What should I call you?”
Automated message to new followers On Same, for free followers
Followers can message you Off Non-paying followers send a lot of messages and rarely buy
Show your profile to other Fanvue users On Free reach inside Fanvue
Free trials Off, or one day at most Long trials attract people who never pay
Intro video On, safe for work Puts you in the reels-style tab

Where does the AI disclosure go?

In the bio first, where every visitor sees it. Fanvue accepts a disclosure in the bio, in captions, or as a watermark on the image, and requires it to be clear and prominent. Using the bio plus a short “AI” note in captions is the simplest way to stay clearly inside the rule.

On the social accounts that send fans to Fanvue, use each platform’s own label. On Instagram, that’s the “AI-generated profile” label.

How much does Fanvue take, and how do payouts work?

Fanvue keeps 20% of what fans pay and you keep 80%, per its earnings terms. Earnings sit as pending for 7 days, sometimes longer. The minimum payout is $20 (higher in some regions), with at least 5 pieces of content uploaded, and payouts take 3 to 5 business days (payout help).

Methods depend on your country: bank transfer everywhere, plus some eWallets and crypto. PayPal isn’t available (payout methods). To see what the 20% fee does to your own numbers, try the Fanvue earnings calculator.

How do you get fans to your Fanvue?

From social media, mostly Instagram. Put a link-in-bio page on her Instagram with her Fanvue on it, labelled honestly as Fanvue. Then post a story with the link every 3 days, because most people never tap the bio. Everything you post on Instagram is there to move people to that link.

You can’t rely on a link on TikTok, so point TikTok viewers to her Instagram. The growth system is in how to create an AI influencer.

Who does the chatting?

At first, you. In the course’s Fanvue lesson, 90% of earnings come from chatting, not from the subscription. Be friendly and patient, build a real conversation, and don’t rush. Once you have enough subscribers to keep someone busy, hire an experienced chatter on a share of chat revenue (the course’s model is 30%).

What’s the graduate perk?

Graduates who sign up through our link can get a verification badge and growth help from Fanvue’s team. It comes from AI Empire’s partnership with Fanvue, so the account has to be made through our link from the start. A Fanvue account made through the link, and verified, is also one of the three requirements for the course’s graduation call.

Sign up through our Fanvue link. The course page explains the graduation call.

What can go wrong?

  • The AI note is only in one caption. Fanvue wants it clear and prominent. Put it in the bio.
  • You send traffic to an empty page. Upload at least 5 posts and the intro video first.
  • Your inbox fills with free followers. Turn follower messages off.
  • Long free trials. They bring people who never pay. Use one day at most.
  • You can’t get paid. Verification isn’t finished, or you have fewer than 5 posts.
